Data Privacy

When you talk to SethAI, every message is stored securely in our database and associated with your account. This conversation is the raw material SethAI uses to build your competency profile — it is never shared verbatim with employers.

Employers see only the structured output: your role, your competency scores (1–5 for technical depth, ownership, and motivation), and a short written assessment by SethAI. They do not see the transcript of your conversation.

• Expertise notes: what domains, tools, and technical areas you've worked in — based only on what you describe.
• Ownership signals: what decisions and responsibilities were genuinely yours.
• Motivation notes: why you want the kind of role you're targeting, in your own words.
• Background (optional): personal context you voluntarily share — SethAI will never ask about age, health, caste, religion, family status, or any protected characteristic.

SethAI is powered by Anthropic's Claude API. Your conversation messages are sent to Anthropic's servers to generate responses. Anthropic processes this data under their own privacy policy and does not use your data to train their models without explicit consent.

noCabins maintains a rolling summary of your interview (called a "compacted memory") to keep the conversation coherent over multiple sessions. This summary is stored in our database and used only within your interview context.

• You: always. You can view and edit your profile at any time from your profile page.
• Verified employers: only the structured profile (scores + assessment). Not the raw transcript.
• noCabins team: for support, quality review, and platform improvement only.
• No one else. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or any other purpose.

• All data is stored in encrypted PostgreSQL databases hosted in secure cloud infrastructure.
• All connections are encrypted in transit via HTTPS/TLS.
• Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2-SHA512 with a unique salt per user.
• Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, all personal data — including your interview transcript, extracted profile notes, and account information — is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Aggregated, anonymised analytics (e.g. average interview length) may be retained indefinitely as they contain no personal information.

• Edit your profile notes at any time from your profile page.
• Reset your interview and start fresh — this clears your conversation history.
• Request a full export of your data by emailing us.
• Request permanent account deletion by emailing us.
• Opt out of being surfaced to employers at any time.
