Do I need a resume to use noCabins?
No. noCabins replaces the resume entirely. Instead of uploading a document, you have a short conversation with SethAI — our AI interviewer — that builds your profile from what you say, not what you've formatted. No resume required, no template to fill in.
How long does the AI interview take?
The interview is designed to take 8–12 minutes. SethAI asks about 4–5 questions — covering your domain expertise, what you've owned, and why you want the role you're targeting. It's one question at a time, no time pressure, and you can take breaks and come back.
What questions does the AI interviewer ask?
SethAI focuses on three areas: what you actually know and have built (domain expertise), what you were responsible for and accountable for (ownership), and why you want this specific type of role (motivation). It may also invite you — once, optionally — to share any personal background context you think is relevant. You are never required to answer personal questions.
Is my profile shared with employers automatically?
No. You control what's shared. Your profile is built from the interview conversation, and you can review and edit every section before it goes anywhere. Background information you choose not to include stays private.
Can I edit my profile after the interview?
Yes — your profile is fully editable at any time. You can update your target role, refine your expertise notes, add context to your ownership section, or remove anything you'd rather not share. The interview is a starting point, not a locked record.
How is this different from LinkedIn?
LinkedIn is a network built around credentials, job titles, and connections. noCabins builds a profile from an actual conversation about what you've done — the decisions you made, the things you owned, the depth of your knowledge. The result is specific and evidence-based, not a list of past employers optimized for keyword searches.
What if I'm between jobs or just starting out?
noCabins works regardless of employment status. If you've built something, owned something, or know a domain deeply — through work, freelance projects, open source, or self-directed learning — the interview surfaces that. You don't need a current job title to have a compelling competency profile.
Will employers actually see my profile, or is this just a data collection tool?
Employers on noCabins are specifically looking for candidates with verified competency — not just applicants. When your profile matches a company's hiring criteria (either via their talent pipeline or a specific role opening), they receive it directly. You are never sold as a lead or contacted without context.
